Savinelli Vs. Peterson?

Peterson is taking a dip,period.They could really put out some good pipes with some more careful work.?

Or maybe some new equipment. Maybe the bearings are worn out of center on their wood turning lathes.Who knows?

I ended up getting the Savinelli (well an ever slightly so different one) this week but only because it won the coin toss ?‍
If I don't instantly regret buying a briar I'll probably add that Dracula next week we'll assuming it's still available and I can't find the Dracula I really wanted on the used market.

I wasn't trying to discourage you from buying a Peterson,only stating what I've noticed over the decades.At this point,you can get a pipe from either maker for under 100 $. The one from Peterson is more likely to have a gap here or there,or a poorly fit band. Not all of them are like that,just some.

I think in the last two threads asking the same question, Savielli won even with all the Peterson fan comments. You all are going to have to start doing a better job....LOL!!

Both brands have winners and turds. If you are not able to physically check out any mass produced pipe and are buying online, I suggest calling around. Several of the online shops will pull several of the same pipe and inspect for the best one if you are cool on the phone.
