Once again I have given in to PAD with complete disregard for the actual need to stock up my tobacco cellar some more.
The 706 shape has been on my list for far too long and while I am usually not a fan of the Roma series, this one is a beauty.

I was very much looking forward to adding an elegant and small(er) "evening out kind of pipe" to my collection - subtle and classic.
The Savinelli Roma 706 seems to be just that and I will be looking forward to smoking this beauty.

It is a 6mm filtered version and the stem was extremely tight to the point where I would not have been able to remove it without brute force. After a while in the fridge it was still really tight but I could remove it with no further harm done.

Now the tenon has been slightly sanded for a perfect fit and it is just waiting to be smoked. :)

I have the same pipe. It reminds me of a scaled down version of the Bing Crosby pipe. It handles any blend just fine, but really likes Virginia blends. You did good.
