Thank you.

This is the first time I have attempted any type of stem repair, I am feeling a bit more confident about it now. Practice, practice.

Indeed. Looks great though! I've been doing it for a couple of years now, and have traded sandpaper for a Magic Eraser, Barkeeper's Friend, and toothpaste.

The pipe above had a rather nasty bite mark on the button, right side bottom and a chip taken out topside right. It was also squished so badly I could not get a pipe cleaner through the stem. I used a lighter to warm up the vulcanite and encourage it back into shape with a needle file. The tooth marks and the chip were filled with black medium-thick Starbond cyanoacrylate adhesive. Filed, sanded, then run through the progression of micromesh pads. It is not perfect but it is better than when it first showed up.

I think every aspect of pipe smoking is addictive, PAD, TAD, restoring, collecting... I love it!
The Milano pipes sit right below the Punto Oro pipes in the Savinelli hierarchical ladder. I feel they are the best kept secret in the estate market other than Jarls.

Absolutely. The image I posted is a De Luxe Milano Siera Sand 9004 my wife got me for Father's Day.

Embers, 4 digits are nice and old, good wood! I have been keeping an eye out for a Corallo 904 for you, I love those things. But they are rather rather rare, I have not seen any examples in 9004 or 904.
jpmcwjr, thank you Sir! ☺

I got a helluva deal on the 624. It even came with one of those old dunghills that embers despises!!.......... :D

Here's some before pics from the ebay seller.........

Beefeater, that is awesome!

I love when the estate pipe gods (or godesses) smile upon us! There are deals to be had, just have to have a better eye or a quick clicker finger. Great grab!
