Sasieni Pipe - City Names Question

When did Sasieni, after Dunhill purchased the company, quit putting the city names on the shanks?

No real idea...cost cutting, one less step (a separate stamping) in production.

Dunhill never purchased Sasieni. They did buy Charatan, but not Sasieni. Sasieni stopped the town names when Alfred sold the company in 1979.

Wasn’t it @ 1979? I believe that is when the Family Era ended. Among other things, they went to shape numbers.
