Sasieni Perfect Ten was a limited edition pipe - It was introduced briefly during the transition era, with a Lucite stem. It is stated in Pipedia article that Alfred Sasieni left the firm around this time.
A perfect ten is a very rare pipe. In fact, when I started looking for it, I could only find it mentioned three times - a. One owned by another forum member
b. One sold in an Italian site
c. My Perfect Ten
This was not in a very pristine condition. In fact it was fairly distressed. The Lucite stem has been chewed (I did not work on it, so you can still see in the picture), original finish almost gone and the color of some of the dots faded. While I hope to come across a perfect example some day, this would do for now.
Since it is not from the golden days of Sasieni, it is not sought after by most collectors. To me though it is a part of very interesting Sasieni history and will be preserved in my collection.
I have been collecting Sasieni “Dots” as a theme for my Sasieni collection. Only two pipes remain to be collected for this collection to be considered complete.
