Hello fellow pipe enthusiasts! I was just gifted a couple sasieni pipes from a friend's dad that gave up the hobby some years back and he had them in his garage (will let me know if he finds more) ? Pipes seem to be in pretty good condition but wanted to give them a good cleaning and don't know where to start. There is some oxidation on the bits, and the chambers I think was sanded, no cake what so ever and there are very little cracks in the walls. Not wanting a professional restoration job, just looking to remove the oxidation clean the brier and maybe put some type of a protectant on the brier and bit. Should I worry about the cracks or let the cake handle it! Any helpful tips would be much appreciated!

A Mr Clean Magic Eraser will clean up those stems. Give the briar a good wipe down with wet paper towels and saliva and a paper towel will take care of the rims.

Thanks chasing embers! How about the chamber? Should I clean the inside with any kind of liquid and are those cracks something to worry about?

Mineral oil on the whole pipe, except interior!- should do wonders.

One of the chambers looks like a sharp blade had been used on it, not sandpaper! But regardless, those fissures shouldn't be a problem. Just smoke real slow and carefully for the first 4-6 bowls.
Is the humidity of your house similar to where the pipe had been stored?

Good observation jpmcwjr, I do remember my buddy telling me his dad used a sharp knife to clean out his bowl. I'm going to smoke my first bowl this afternoon through it and will take it real slow! Thank you!
