I have never tried any of this brand and I am looking for opinions on where to begin. I like Vapers, Latakia, Aros...all sort of the same...I guess I appreciate variety sort of like the foods I enjoy from all corners of the map. Shoot me where you would start OR just your favorite. I know it's subjective but I want to have some fun and I have a source for the complete line at the moment but would rather not drop the $ on one of each . In other words,"Hey veterans, where would you begin?"

My first SG was 1792. There's nothing else like it. Grows hair on your chest.

Otherwise, I'd say the most venerable SGs are Full Va Flake, St. James Flake and Squadron Leader. There are none I dislike.

I like Full Virginia Flake quite a bit. I used to think it was drenched in propylene glycol, but, it actually does dry out; it just ships very, very, moist. I cube cut it and find I need to dry it close to a day, otherwise, it'll be very difficult to keep lit; you'd swear it's fireproof.

SG and GH are awful hard to get these days...good luck.

Maybe post in the tobacco trade, sell, buy section to see if you can get 1-2 ounce samples.

No one has mentioned Grousemoor, which is my favorite Lakeland.

I would concentrate on Best Brown, Full Virginia and St James flakes. They are the standard bearers for the entire line up.

Just to name a few. The Gawith stuff have a specific style, I wouldn’t say I would like to smoke only Gawith, some MacBaren and Kohlhase & Kopp blends are really great, but one could go a very long way with Gawith.
