Between my ears I'm still 29, but since I got an auto-immune disease from Long Covid, my body tells me I'm 125.
That sucks I know one person that got hit hard with that. I am glad that I only got medium Covid. Lots of profuse sweating for no reason, insane aches for no reason, general feeling of being sick and tired, and maybe worst of all the brain cobwebs and fog. The only good side is now that it's passed I can respond to the you're only as old as you feel "good I got 20 years younger in the last two year".

I almost died 3 1/2 years ago from Long Covid and now that I have recovered somewhat, I have been told by two Doctors that my life span has been cut from 10 to 20 years. Well, Hell, I'm 68 years old so I better enjoy every minute of life. I tell my wife enjoy all the time we have together, the good and hard times, because we probably will look back on them and consider them "the good old days".

I know it sounds sappy but I really genuinely believe that one of the greatest gifts one can give ones self, is just appreciation. One appreciating even being alive it's so fragile, every year people die because a tree branch falls on them. People find out they have a congenital disease that sat silently before stripping their health away.
And while doctors know a lot it's always based on tendencies and how things go. It's not something to expect or count on it's common enough that an individual defies the odds. And it's always based on how and what the average person does in that situation. Having a good attitude will help, even if only because you'll be in a better mood before crossing the finishing line. Or in other words hopefully you are in that percentage of people that is a positive outlier and you get to live to be a genuine old codger with the bonus of squeezing as much out of life as you can muster. And maybe just maybe you're lucky to skip 100-120 years old. :)
And lastly Covid is still new enough to have surprise both good and bad.
