Ropp Algerian Superior Pipe at Smoking Pipes

This was available earlier today but I missed it by a couple of minutes. I was actually startled by the grain when I saw it. Had it in my cart and someone else got it before me.

Does anyone have a pipe from this series? I’m curious about the stem work. I have a couple of the Vintage Sandblasted pipes, and the horn stems are a bit “rustic”, so to speak.

I have had two Ropp pipes with horn stem fitted,these pipes were well(airflow was a bit more restricted than in my other pipes) made but I didn't care about horn stem finding them somewhat clumsy and inconvenient, so I went ahead and sold both.

The airflow was not to my liking on the Vintage Sandblasted pipes but I was able to open up the airways and they smoke as well as any of my other pipes now. The bits and buttons are somewhat clunky but I don’t mind them at all.

I outsource my ROPP pipes from Germany and usually they come at half the price even at retail, but SPC do have a wider range of shapes and then theres the horn stems. Mine are only vulcanite with metal ROPP logo on the stems.
