I saw him live at Chicago's London House in June of 1972, from the table closest to the stage.

Could have tapped him on the shoulder with a flyrod.

It's rare when a jazzer can control a room. No background-music-for-cocktail-sipping-and-conversation from Ramsey... he could put on a show.

RIP, dude. You got it done like few others.

That must've been a hell of a show. But then again, Brubek 'til 4am sounds pretty fantastic.
