For anyone with access to a Publix grocery store, I found the following jar available for $8.00. The picture shows it with 16 ounces of BLWB goodness. I realize this may not work for all tobaccos, what with constant opening and closing. However, for those bulk blends that seem to contain a fair amount of PG (I'm looking at you Lane and Sutliff [not that there is anything wrong with that!] ), it might be a good solution. The lid fits pretty tightly and the seal appears solid.

I have a number of latch-lid canning jars, though I think screw lids are often preferred by the best practices people. The latch lids seem to retain moisture well.

For just holding some tobacco until you can smoke it all, these jars are fine. For the long haul on cellaring to age a blend, you'd want a Mason/Ball jar with screw top lids.

The seals are far more permeable than standard mason jar seals. For short terms, they’re fine, I’m sure, but I wouldn’t want to leave something in there for ten years.
