I agree with Mike. This doesn’t look more difficult than some of the restorations you have done. Proceed with caution and I am sure you will achieve nice results. Looks like this one is in your wheel-house. Looking forward to seeing the after pictures.I've seen a few of your cleanups and I hardly think you will destroy the pipe.
You know what to do, light touch and take your time. I think that pipe looks fairly clean to begin with. I say go for it!
