Here’s a 1912 F.F.F in a Diamond with J.H. In a Triangle.

A cannibal had chewed through the stem. Then someone tried to fix it and the cannibal either was still hungry or the repair failed.

I cleaned it up, used G/Flex Epoxy and Black Pigment and then went at it after it dried.

The stem still needs a little more work, but I’m smoking it instead of trashing it. Good enough for now.

The pictures are in sequence.

Well used, if somewhat abused.
Great job rescuing such a handsome specimen (double points for a Bulldog) from the scrap heap. ??
Would love to see the final finished product.

Great job bro. Though I resent the cannibal comment
I thought sometime past - lost in the mists of history - long pig was a delicacy.
Or have I confused that with some of your Pacific neighbours ?

I recall reading that to partake of a fallen foe was thought to confer his bravery and fighting ability to the partakers and to honour his spirit.

While the pipe in question came from NZ, I feel the provenance of the damage lies elsewhere. The lack of duct tape and fencing wire used in the repair show it’s not the work of kiwi ingenuity
