@jaytex969 - that's a good point, definitely smart to smoke lighter blends first and then work up. Also what a hilariously silly video!
@lochinvar - the Lovat is quite stunning isn't she? I have some morta pipes for latakias, I'll probably end up with a VaPer to be honest.

Wow, a beauty, l'son... and by the way, that's my all-time favorite Castello shape.
As for your question; I have a Tonino Jacono billiard that I purchased from McCranie's Pipe Shop back in 1999 that has had nothing but the McCranie's '83 crop Red Virginia run through it for the past 20-years. That pipe smell's like a little slice of heaven even when no burning tobacco is in it. A super sweet Virginia smell - second only to the perfume my wife wears when we're... well, never mind.

@pipestud - thank you. The lovat is definitely an icon Castello shape.
Haha yes, that's another plan! Someone did suggest earlier that it may to smart to pick a readily available blend as to got have to "retire" this pipe. But now I'm thinking it could be nice to have a retired pipe to smell once in a while. LOL.
