Juni's thread about recommending a blend made me think of this.
This thread will be for recommending B&M retailers' house blends. There are some amazing house blends that for the most part, by nature, do not have a broad national distribution.
That means that a lot of guys are missing out on a lot of great tobaccos.
Many of us know and love PipesAndCigars.com's Hearth & Home, and 4noggins.com's house blends.
However, I'd like to see if we can focus on physical retailer's (B&Ms) that either don't have highly trafficked e-commerce websites, no websites at all, or not a broad distribution.
I have three that I would like to start with:
#1
Pipe & Pint Inc
Greensboro, NC
(336) 218-8610
6 Virginias - This is a sweet, full, round-flavored Virginia. It is amazingly smooth for a VA. You can puff like a locomotive and not get tongue bite.
It is not an aromatic, but it is like eating a big piece of caramel, with just a tiny little nic kick if you have an empty stomach.
6 Virginias is very unique. I have never had any other VA that is similar.
You have to call to order: (336) 218-8610

#2
Bennington Tobacconists
Sarasota and Boca Raton, FL
English Blends:
Bennington's No. 10, Bahia Apooke
Bennington's No. 15, Balkan Mix
Both are smooth and packed with flavor.
Both can be ordered on this page:

Virginia / Perique:
King William
Full bodied, with a little bit of punch to it, can be ordered on this page:

#3
Nat Sherman
New York City
Nat Sherman's # 536 - Empire English.
Nothing like it. It's in a class all by itself.
Oddly, they have disabled their site, but you can call: (800) 692-4427
