George, I love watching you videos. Such great work and a big thank you for posting this information. Even though I will probably never have the skills to do restoration work, your videos make me appreciate pipes in general much more in depth.

George, what glue was used on the metal tube insert?
Since there's no load(s) put on the tube, I doubt it would matter much. I used G-Flex because it sticks well to both metal and wood, though (as in, it couldn't hurt).
