Hi,
I just found this very good looking Rattray Billiard Meerschaum. Does anyone know if it block or pressed? Its sells for $180. Thanks

A cursory glance indicates it's African, not Turkish nor pressed, meer in my estimation. I'd have to fondle it to tell for sure but, it looks pre-colored which is a prime indication for me.

I have a Rattray's meer and that's definitely block, I believe it was carved by Altinay for Rattray's. Going by the maker and the price I'd wager the one you are looking at is a block meerschaum. Saying that my pipe looks very different to the one in your picture.
For what it's worth the block used on mine was high quality as the pipe is very light.
