I thought it was one of those rarities you see advertised on eBay from time to time. One of the "Dunhill, Castello, Charatan, Sasieni, Cooke" pipes.

The title says "Rock Briar Tobacco Pipe- Made in France", but the description says "Pipe is marked Rock Briar, Italy.". The pictures aren't good enough to see much, but the is a marking of some kind on the right hand side of the stem.
