We live in the booming metropolis of Creedmoor, NC, just north of Raleigh-Durham. Been smoking a few years so I’m still a newb. Own a few briars but really like my MM cobs best. My current favorite smokes are burley/VaPer blends, but I keep a few food-flavored aeros in the rotation for when my wife’s nearby.

Welcome aboard from your area. You've likely already discovered Pipes by George between NCSU and downtown on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. You may also have encountered Jerry Perry, the Colfax N.C. pipe carver who sells exclusively at the State Fair this month, at the Village of Yesteryear, and at the TAPS pipe show at the fairgrounds in April.

Welcome from Virginia/New York. You'll find no judgement about enjoying your cobs over your briars on this forum

Thanks all.

mso489, I’ve been to George’s a few times. Nice little shop. Met Huber and Inge through TAPS. I’ll have to look Perry up.

An hour or a little less from Raleigh is J&R Cigars just off I-95 in Smithfield/Selma. I haven't been there in years, and I think their inventory has changed, but i think they may still have the big humidor and some deals on pipe tobacco.
