Sort of a youngster from my point of view. Died with his tour bus engine still running, as it were. RIP.

This is the first I'm hearing of his passing. He was great! May he rest in peace.

Argh! I can't take any more bad news today! Not exactly the music of my youth, more like the music of my mid-life crises. Still, he made some great music, and lets not forget that iconic role in the otherwise goofy movie, The Postman.

Apparently still unconfirmed, and he's in critical condition. Hope he pulls through.

So, he may still be alive?

Sadly, with the cardiac arrest, no brain function at the hospital, and being pulled off life support. He's as good as gone. RIP Tom Petty.
