He got a hip take on the old vaudeville physical comedy in the tradition of Spike Jones and Jackie Gleason. Nearly everyone knows who Pee Wee Herman is. He'll live on through film and video.

Who could forget Laurence Fishburnd as Cowboy Curtis, along way from Cowboy Curtis to the King of the Bowery and John Wick's buddy. lol
