Sorry to hear this news ... another good one gone.
Coincidentally, her father was a tobacco sharecropper. :puffy:

Florence Henderson was the TV mom to The Brady Bunch when I was in the Navy aboard ship and overseas and back, and then in a rented room in grad school, without a TV all the way, so I never saw her break-out role. To her credit, I did immediately recognize her name, as a TV mom actor, but couldn't remember which show, since I never saw it, or her in action.

In losing Mrs. Brady I feel like many of us also lost a second Mom in a lot of ways, sad news.

Bobby and Cindy watch "Cinderella" on television, which starts a series of misunderstandings that convinces Bobby that his new "step-mother" doesn't love him. By the time we get to the last act, Bobby prepares to run away from home. Mike Brady has a nice, low key talk with him, assuring him that, though he's sorry to see him go, he feels that everyone should be able to find someplace where they'll be happier. Bobby picks up his suitcase and prepares to leave. At the bottom of the staircase Carol is waiting, with her own suitcase.
"I heard you were leaving," she says.
"Yeah."
"Well, why don't you let me take the big suitcase and you carry mine."
Bobby looks stunned. "Where are you going?"
"Well," Carol explains, "I'm not going to let you go away alone. That's a big world out there. I'm going with you."

:crying:
I've loved Florence H. ever since. RIP.
