Plenty of people post purchases.
My mind is made up that there is more or less enough to go around.

My mixed feelings for sure.
Everyone everywhere has an opinion

& that's OK.

If I intend to impress, an item of rarity can be found there, but I think it might be better shared.

What we would gain if we all were so lucky.
I don't know.
Let's think about that for a bit.
Look, we're all loving the "tobacco" experience.

Still with companies going out of business.
Everyone is hoarding.
No..."cellaring".
Don't deny it.

You might be thinking, that's not me.
Or that it's not a lot.
Understanding this is why I am posting.

See, it's about a community, all of us share the joy of smoking.
We have at least that as a bond
Everyone of us, I would imagine, would greet one another with kindness if we met smoking a pipe.
At least we would give each other a nod and look of approval.
To finish the rant, I can only hope you are lucky enough to realize that.
Enjoy the post and hurry up, I'll do what I can.
Don't worry if you didn't get it, it was never meant to last.

I don't hoard or "cellar". I buy only what I can smoke over four or five weeks. I "like" nicotine so... I enjoy the pipe, the cigar and cigarettes. I certainly do not love my wee vice but, I do enjoy the nicotine and turning my hard won moneys into smoke..

You're imagination is wrong for many of us here. I certainly presume to approve or disapprove of someone else smoking. The fact that another smokes a pipe doesn't mean we are "kindred spirits."

Give yourself a few more months reading posts and you'll soon come to understand that the membership here is a varied group, collectors of pipes, aficionados of tasting, nicotine addicts, and so forth. We defy "one size fits all" generalizations.

Easily denied. My purchases were for a time that I could have tobacco when I could no longer justify the cost which has been so for the past couple of years now. Cellaring is for future use. Hoarders often buy up to sell for profit.

Nothing new about companies going out of business. Consolidation has been ongoing for decades.
I got tired of finding a favorite blend disappearing without warning. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me a dozen times, shame on me.
For most of my smoking history I bought what I needed as I needed it.
With blends going away or going to hell, you bet I began stocking up on the blends I really enjoyed. People were writing about the tobaccopalypse more than a decade ago, and I listened.
I stocked what I most enjoyed smoking so that I would be able to continue to enjoy it after it was discontinued.

I stopped buying, with the exception of some purchases to satisfy my curiosity, about 5 years ago. It’s enough.

If I understand the post... everyone knows that there are two main reasons to buy as much tobacco as you can. You either want the tobacco, or you want to prevent others from getting it. It's as easy as that.
