Well I've done it ; somehow I landed the role of Professor Plum in the theatre play Clue. Professor Plum smokes a pipe. I just sent the tech director the specs on the pipe I would like. Very excited and happy I am. I am hoping the director allows me to add a bit of humor to a scene. In one scene Professor Plum checks a dead body. I am really hoping to have Professor Plum check for death by taking the victims shoe off and pour out his (hot) pipe ash on the victims foot. I could even have a pipe filled with a lot of (cold) ash just for that purpose. Should be fun. Let me know if you would like photos and updates.

Honestly I would have to see it to tell you if it's funny. I don't see it, but the missing piece is your acting.
Either way it will be lots of fun. Would love to see it.

I actually get a revolver. The way the script is written I don't know who is the killer, there are multiple endings.

Yes unless they are a vaper. The script says I do a cursory check. Professor Plum is a psychologist not a physician and really doesn't have any idea what he is doing; that's where I got the idea of dumping pipe ash on a maybe dead person's foot. This is the type of thing Professor Plum would do.

First update: 1st rehearsal :They are thinking of getting me an electronic pipe that puffs water vapor. I am hoping they get me a real pipe that I can just pretend to smoke. They shipped in seasoned actors and I am praying I can do my part okay. Last night I was standing in awe; I don't think any actor in the world could improve upon the dialog I heard. Kinda overwhelming when you are setting next to them while they speak; I was humbled. Nice people, really hoping the director has no need to yell at me. I'll take a photo of the pipe they have for me when I get it.

If ya like I will see if I can get a photo of the actors in costume in our production. I have glasses just like those but the director wants me without the glasses. The wardrobe is kinda subdued, miss Scarlet doesn't wear scarlet that sort of thing.. Thanks for taking the time to post the photo from the card in the board game.

Over a hundred years ago stage actor William Gillette played the role of Sherlock on the stage. He found that a regular pipe was too small and difficult for the people in the back rows to see, so he changed his prop pipe to a calabash. The image of Sherlock with a calabash has stuck to this day even though Conan Doyle never mentioned one in his stories. Hope this gives you something to consider...

So here is Professor Plum's pipe in the promo photo. I haven't seen it yet. I don't know if it is the electronic pipe that exhales clouds of water vapor they said I'd get; a real pipe, or a non functional prop pipe. There is a scene where Plum is accused and I would like to blow smoke at my accusers. I will find out tonight.
