Prodigal Meer (Storient Pipes Magazine 2012 Pipe)

My buddy Dave gave this to me the other day, it was gifted to him a few years ago.
I was new to the forum in 2012 and only vaguely recall the vendor "Storient". He made or imported meerschaum pipes but it didn't end well. I believe a number of members either didn't get their ordered pipes or there were other issues. He was then banned. If someone tells me the correct story, I'll update.

These are the 2 I snagged before it all went south. I was lucky as I got in early before he started ripping people off. To bad as both of mine are great smokers...

Boy was that ever a fiasco. Yavuz Korpelez(sp) was the face of Storient and came to PM with grand pipes, but poor execution in his service and lied to many, including myself. My story was brief but certainly forced his eventual downfall. I did eventually get my LVC pipe, but at additional expense to me. I will say the pipe still smokes great, stem work has a lot to be desired, but I learned a lot from the experience.
