Good Morning All! I hope ejames sees and responds to this particular topic since I read somewhere else on the forums that he is the resident Dr. Grabow guru. Anyway, I'm currently restoring two Dr. Grabow Golden Duke “Ajustomatic" pipes with the patent #'s stamped in the briar. What's the best way to preserve all these stampings during the sanding/prepping process? Beyond being super duper careful...are ther any tricks?

Guru-no,Grabow freak-yes. I did a write up on refinishing pipes over at the DGCF. Rather than go into a long winded spiel about it here--here's a link to that post. http://drgrabows.myfreeforum.org/about1644.html

Holler if I haven't made it clear to ya, a writer I ain't.
