Last week I had a good hunting partner pass away unexpectedly. He always had his pipe on his call lanyard and would smoke when we were hunting together. We always joked about how it was good luck to have the smoke coming out of the duck blind. I am wanting to get my own pipe in honor of him to smoke when in the blind.
Below is the best picture I could find if his pipe. I don't know if there was anything special about this one but hoping that maybe someone could identify it so I can purchase a similar one.

It looks to me a bit like a Dr. Grabow Savoy or Full Bent with a small hose clamp installed on it. Possibly for a shank crack, or possibly just to keep the lanyard from slipping off. Most Grabows no longer come with the aluminum spacer you see there, but you can still find them as "new old stock" on ebay sometimes.

Here's something along those lines.

Thank you guys. I think the silver band is a duck band that they use for tracking duck migration. Don't know if it is actually part of the original pipe.

Duck band is a really cool idea. I love seeing these type mods.

I would do a Google Image search for "duck band", then do one for "hose clamp". Not that a duck band wouldn't look cool on a pipe.

The post on whether a Danish pipe has value or no brings to mind my recent eBay finds. I am not sure I shared them with you already, so here goes. I hope this time I get the trick easier. This time I am using DropBox with associated links. Let's see what happens.

Well, it works...IF you double-click/tap o the link and choose "open in new tab." Here come some more blank ones. Just double-whatever (or left-click for Windows?)

If I can find the correct instructions to put these up (on one of the threads), I'll post them.
