When was the contemporary type of plastic (or Delrin or nylon) push-pull style tenon screw and screw-in mortise bushing first used on meerschaum pipes? I know that bone screws were the standard before the plastic push-pull connectors. Curious when the plastic push-pull style first showed up.
Thanks

Thank you for that info, jitterbug. I didn't realize they were in use that long ago. Good to know.
