Pipe Screens, Screen Balls, or No Screen?

I have a few pipes now with "bottomless pit" chambers or chambers where, on every smoke, too much is wasted at the bottom of the bowl.

Just half fill them.

No screens for me, either for tobacco or other, greener, substances. 1995 called and they want their screens back lol

For filters, yes, I’ll use them in my pipe I use for non HH Mac Baren tobaccos as no matter what I’m smoking that brand bites my tongue. A filter limits that and I can enjoy stuff like Dark Twist.

Jfc I know what wire things you mean. They're pipe screens and have nothing to do with smoking weed. They're kind of a triangular shaped thing. I could see them being helpful while you get the hang of everything. For me it'd just be another thing to clean. Sometimes the pipe will get clogged with tobacco bite if it's really dry as it really breaks into dust almost

I use Sharrow chalk filters on my calabashes. The hole in the meerschaum bowl is right at the bottom and can sometimes get blocked. Don't use them on anything else.

Never use them.
I don't mind chewing grounds from my coffee or getting a speck of tobacco on my tongue.
