Any one know if there are any good sales coming up? I've got my eye on a few pipes (Ser Jacopo, Caminetto, Castello) at SmokingPipes, and I'd love to pull the trigger on two if I could hit a good sale. I missed out on SmokingPipes estate pipe sale recently, and a couple really nice pipes I would have liked to have owned. Hoping a good sale comes along so I can grab a nice pipe that's calling to me. Heck maybe any a good promo code would help too. Thanks for any help in advance.

Yeah, I figured IPSD was the next big sale, but just thought I'd check to see if anyone knew about anything else coming up. I guess my money will have to burn a hole in my pocket until then.

Perhaps the best deal on an artisan pipe I ever had was in the final hours of a pipe show, making that last loop through the tables. Pipe carvers have a choice, at that point, if they want to sell anything near cost, just to lighten their inventory and pay their hotel or gasoline bill. Or if they feel you have a special appreciation for their work and would like to have you own their work, for their own personal satisfaction. Otherwise, sales at smokingpipes and PC, among others, can be great. The deal from SP on Ser Jacopo during a SJ sale will never be repeated; I bought a new Dublin blast with a square serpentine shank and stem for less than the current estate prices. 'Never happen again. But don't buy just because of a sale unless the pipe would tempt you at full price.

These pipes are not really on sale, but I think they are good deals.

cos, you are correct. I wish I could handle acrylic stems as I would be buying more Castello's. I smoked my lone Castello yesterday and damn it hurt my teeth. I hadn't smoked it in over a year and I was reminded as to why.

Thanks for the suggestions Harris. While nice pipes, those aren't really my style but do look like they're at a good price point.

MSO, the pipes I'm looking at are all pipes I would pay full price for, but if I can get them on sale it would be even better.
