Does anyone own a La Rocca leather combo pouch. I own one that my wife gave me for a present, its only 2 years old and used maybe 50 times and now the vinyl piping that holds the leather together is dry rotted. (3 pipe combo)

Has anyone else had this problem.

They are not cheap!!

I think the word use used "vinyl" should let you know it will not last for ever. You can condition vinyl so it will last longer but nothing beets leather for lasting a long time.
I have got a Mitchell Thomas 5 pipe combo carrier and it was only $26 plus shipping on one of the sponsor sites. I dont remember which one though.

The leather that they used is top notch, but the fact that a 50$+ pipe pouch only lasted 2 years is dishearten.

I might try Peterson combo pouches when this one is totally trashed.

I have a large Peterson 2-pipe leather bag (which will hold three pipes), it was reasonably priced from Pipes&Cigars and looks pretty durable.

The pouch is only as strong as its weakest link, if they use good leather then finish it off with cheap vinyl, unfortunately that's going to be the first part to fail.
