Here's a link to the Pioneer Meerschaum catalogue. These Pipes were popular

during the '70's and had a good reputation among those who smoked them. It's

a bit of history that you might find interesting...

Thanks for this. In addition to a large gourd calabash I also have a black meerschaum bent by Pioneer. I've never seen another one like it. I need to get busy with photos, I guess.

As far as I can tell, Pioneer made some of the absolute best gourd calabashes from the 50's - 70's. Very well put together, and good smokers!

I had a black bent. But that and a lot of other stuff "vanished " while I was out in Washington.

Wow awesome link, thanks! Picked up an estate yesterday for 40 dollars at local online market here in Denmark, it is the gold band version on page 9 in original box, seems I made quite the bargain!! Thank you for the info :)

I have a carved black Oom Paul I bought in 1976 with a pearl brown acrylic stem, and a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer with a black vulcanite stem. Great smokers.

My 2 Pioneer meers. Both from the early 1970's.

Its been a long time, is there a update to that dead link or the Pioneer Catalog? I added 2 of them to my assortment of pipes, great smokers, one it still unsmoked, for now
