Black is pretty basic for a stem. But I was looking to give this pipe a little sportier look.

I came across some NYH Orange/Black 8 swirl that I thought would look nice. Turned a piece down so I could get a better idea of how it would look.

I think it looks good with the color and fine lines to kind of match the fine grain on the stummel.

Now to commission a gold rim with diamonds... (Just kidding)

That's a pretty sweet transtition to the shank there. It looks real smooth. Nice!

I dropped it off at Rich Lewis’ shop today... I’m pretty handy, but I’ll let stem manufacture to somebody who’s considerately better and has much more time and experience.
