I was so pleased by my experience (and the finished product) with Scottie Piersel on my first pipe commission that I decided to do another with her. Most of my pipes are billiards/dublins/brandies with long shanks. That's what I like. Wanting to mix things up a bit, I decided to go an entirely different route for a new pipe.. a reverse calabash tulip!

It's going to feature a natural finish/sandblast, blue swirl juma band and black ebonite saddle bit stem.
On to some WIP pictures..,

That's the least-obtrusive second chamber I've seen on a reverse-calabash, well done.

Danish Oil applied..I think this will be the final finish for the stummel. A very attractive golden honey..

First crack at the stem didn't turn out great so Scottie is doing another- a tapered stem instead of the saddle bit.
