Just wanted to give a shout out to @aguineapig for a pound of wonderfully aged 4 year old Picayune. Thank you so much sir!
Picayune has always been in my top 5, but this is my #1 right now. Musty and piquant Samsun, robust, nutty and sharp air cured Burley, funky and figgy perique, a bit of dark fire cured and with just enough golden Virginia to add a subtle sweetness.... I'm in heaven right now. I'm not sure how long I can make this last, and I've never smoked more tobacco in my life. This is my all day smoke for the past week. I fear for myself when it's gone. At the suggestion of folks here, I've ordered some Gawith Kendal Dar and Dark Birdseye, and will be ordering other burleys too, because I seriously have to dethrone the Picayune or it will be gone in a month.
Anyone else really enjoy this blend?
