Peterson Spigot (non-System)?

Hi Everyone,

I've got my eye on a Peterson Spigot #68 (bent brandy shape). Any have experience with this particular style (or other Pete bent spigots)? I'm a little concerned about gurgle...

Also, does the spigot really allow the pipe to be dissembled while still hot? Or am I thinking of their army mounts?

Spigots are army mounts. Break them down.

A 68 is easy to smoke.
Dry your tobacco more for less gurgle.

I've got an XL11 that never gurgles and a 999 that gurgles if you even look at it. To some degree it's probably luck of the draw and more so user error on my part.

All that said the spigots are fantastic pipes. You can break them down whenever.
