This pipe caught my eye as I was unfamiliar with this shape. Sure enough, the 500 series is pretty rare and a bit of a mystery. Mark Irwin confimed the 1980 hallmark date and gave me some history on the series (what little there is).

The rusticated finish on "Donegal" Rocky pipes from this era are superior to all the other eras, to my eye.

Full restoration details here.

I have noticed significantly higher prices on Estates on EBeast over the past few months, specifically on "Buy it Now" listings. Petersons are always highly sought after. I would not be surprised if you get what you listed it for... especially if you promote how rare a find it is. Good luck, Al. Here's to hoping it sells quickly for what you have listed it for...

I had a 504 Sterling Silver I sold/traded and a 505 spigot that @jiminks owns now.
I still have a 505 Sterling Silver in the collection.

Holy lord that sterling silver I traded must have been worth 2 hundo! I think I got $80 for it.
