Peterson 69?

Can anyone tell me what year the model 69 was introduced into the lineup? Would love to see pictures of the older ones. I know it’s not the popular Peterson system pipe, and while I do love the system pipes, the 69 is my favorite. Thanks for any feedback.

Why do you say a No. 69 isn't popular - I disagree, although I prefer the No. 68. A quick internet search (about a minute) suggests maybe 1937 but my Peterson book isn't accessible and someone probably has better info.

The second pipe I ever bought was a sterling banded shape 69, thirty plus years ago.

I figured it was one of their older shapes but never gave much thought to how old. It looks like a shape out of the thirties. Thanks for the link, BlueRidge.
