Can't seem to find anything on this one, geussing it's age around WWII based on the Vulcanite? stinger and use of the word Bruyere. Any info is welcome.

Quick clean up and it's a nice beater

I wouldn't call it a beater. It looks comforting and nostalgic. I would smoke it as proudly as any decent briar, regardless of its heritage or lack of refinement.

It looks to me like an American factory pipe, and I feel sure I've come across these online as estate pipes. The name sounds English, but the carving doesn't look English.

Hmmm, I would link this pipe to the British American Tobacco cigarette brand called Pall Mall. From the looks of it, I tend to agree with mso489. Personally I love the design ..

I suspected it was American and from the 40's, could have been a coupon pipe offered through Pall Mall and fulfilled by another company or made for a shop of that name, may never know.
Dottie, I use the term beater loosely. This is a great smoker, no stinger, large bowl with thin walls and it stays cool, lightweight too. Just cost me nothing and is probably not worth much more so I won't fret if anything happens.

Here is what I found and a link at the bottom for the photos.

You'll have to scroll down on the page to Pall Mall.

Hope this helps, and puff on.
