a lot of discussion on this task. it's rather simple. you just want some space at the bottom of the chamber. or very loose tobacco there. doesn't really matter how you pack it above the very bottom. if you shove the tobacco into the chamber, dried tobacco, there will be some resistance. this will automatically leave a space in the bottom. if you insist on pushing it further, that will fill that space and make it almost impossible to smoke. so, fill the pipe how you want. just leave some space in the bottom.
