Well, I went through the entire process, the promo was added to the cart, then after I hit the button to complete that's when it told me that the promo was no longer available. captainsousie...that is what happened to me. I kept my order, and E-mailed both Russ and P&C. My only gripe is don't let me submit the order then have it show me I did not qualify for the promo. The response from Nicko @ P&C was tough luck. My order from them will arrive soon. Its contents will decide my future purchases.

I just wanted to say thanks to Russ and P&C for this terrific promotion. Got mine today. I really appreciate it.

Rothnh, how long are these cigars going to last in the packaging they were sent in? I don't keep a cigar humidor anymore and don't want to mess with making a Tupperdore or something for the sake of a few cigars. I'd rather just smoke them before they get too dry.

Joeahearn, do you know anyone who smokes cigars that might give you some space in their humidor? My best guess is a few weeks at best,a couple weeks more than likely. Its all going to depend on the humidity in the area where you keep them.
Edit: Now that I think about it. Is there a water pillow in the sampler ziplock bag? That would buy you more time. You could put them in there.

If you have a Rubbermaid container you could keep your cigars in that. As long as its got a good seal, they will be OK. They will dry out but if the package came with a humidifier pillow, that will extend the life.

As with captainsousie, as I placed my order and then the promo did not show. I decided to keep my order but emailed P&C and Russ (after his post of offering to possibly help). My response from P&C was sorry about your luck, and no response from Russ. As someone who stuck with them through all their changes, I mistakenly thought that the $1500 I've spent with them in the last year and a half might earn a little consideration from them. Again, my only gripe is don't let me submit the order then have it show me I did not qualify for the promo. Will take this into consideration for future purchases.

@ murf and anyone else who's interested in the Mazatec. Got a chance to smoke a couple more bowls and have decided I could probably smoke it a lot (maybe all day). Like I said before there still isn't as much flavor as I expected, but after reading a couple reviews, I guess that's what it's meant to be. That being said, the flavor it does have, being medium bodied, was very nice for me. I didn't notice that it changed very much, during the smoke, but it never got boring for me. It was smooth in a way that I made think of the Frog Morton blends.

The website mentioned mushroomy. I would have to stretch my imagination a bit to get that, but it does have a nice earthiness.

Well that's my take for now....

Thanks, ruotsi! As of this last TAD, my cellar will be almost jam-packed! (I don't have much room, but it's enough tobacco to last me a long time).
The tin I got in my goodie bag was Metropolitan. An aro
I looked up the Lane tobaccos I got, the HGL has "mountain latakia" in it. I've never heard of it. Has anybody else?
I'm not much of a cigar guy, but do enjoy them on occasion. I might just have to take advantage of the coupons, get a small humidor, and have a few sticks lying around. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good, yet modestly priced, humidor? How about a big mason jar? Not sure if it's ok to store cigars vertically or not.

The Mazatec wasn't in the free stuff. It was one that I'd ordered. So far as I've noticed, there's never any ETA on the back-ordered things at P&C. lol I hope they get more cuz I'm really diggin' it. :puffy:

I ordered 4oz of Mazatec a few weeks ago, and also took advantage of the "buy two get one free" offer on H&H 8oz tins. One of my tins was back ordered and I got free shipping, which was calculated on the retail price of the order, before the discount. So, I paid $83 and change, still got free shipping and will get free shipping on the tin that is back ordered. I consider this a very good deal, and I have no problem waiting for my free tin with free shipping. By the way, Mazatec is very much to my liking also!

Still, with their huge warehouse in PA, I am hoping P&C will tweak things so as to have less items out of stock
I agree. I've noticed a lot of things OOS recently, many that don't seem like things the should ever be OOS. The inventory system seems to need an adjustment.
I tried the Lane HGL today. I have no idea what mountain latakia is, but I really like the blend. Seemed to have just enough Latakia to give it depth and a nice light sweetness to the taste and aroma. I smoked it while doing something else, which usually means I smoke too fast, but it didn't bite or seem to get too hot.

A BIG THANK YOU TO RUSS AND THE FOLKS AT P&C. Low and behold today, I get home from work and the wife says there is a package for me. Its the bonus deal I groused about not receiving on their bonus deal. Needless to say, they have earned my respect, and lots of future business from me! Dave

There are always going to be problems when you have a limited number of items to give away, but we tried to make up for it where we could. As a note, some of the items were co-oped by manufacturers, but items like the lighter, pipe and others were on our nickel.

Mazatec isn't going anywhere, but we blew through 80 lbs. of Latakia, and we just got more in, so it will be available again next week.

Russ, I have a question for you. It may be on the P&C sight already and I just haven't found it. Is there a list of all of your Hearth and Home Tobacco's that seperates them into respective categories(Virginia, VaPer, English, etc), and also list strengths along with the descriptions? I have only had your anniversary kake. I quickly ordered a pound and a half of it, and in my order the other day I ordered a tin of Ten To Midnight that will be opened before long. It's just a little overwhelming trying to go through all of your blends one by one, and remembering what was what.

Just so all of you know, I tried both of the coupons sent along with the goodie bag. The AVO coupon works. The Nica Roma one does not. I'm in contact with someone now, I sent her a scan of the coupon, and she's looking into it. I will let you know when I get some news, in case any of you are interested.
