Jcsnaps, the banner and e mail were very clear about the ordering window it's not the companies fault you didn't order in time. This was a great deal and I'm sure there loosing money on it of course they can't have it every day.

I wanted to order on this deal, but couldn't that day. I have only ordered from P&C a time or two and had no issues. I just REALLY wish they would do free shipping over $95 like smokingpipes does. I'm also curious to see what are in those "goodie bags" all of you got.

If I was to formulate a guess, from reading the email. These goodie bags were the idea of PandC and they went and found vendors that wanted to advertise their products through the bag. They would only get so much "free" product to hand out.
Like I stated above; I only tried SPS blends because of the IPSD promotion. Now I have been putting away 8oz. tins of No.5 in my cellar like a mad man. That sure paid off for SPS. Either way, any sale or special has a limit that the vendor can afford to handle.

Wow, pretty harsh to bash a vendor that offers free stuff for a limited time and take business elsewhere because the window was missed. It's like these guys can't win.

@ 05venturer- i lokked before for that on their site and didn't find anything. After reading that I went to research again to back up my former search, and this time came across it. Nice to know now. But kinda sucks since my last order was over $90. Oh well, my fault not their's. they have some stuff in stock I want that SP doesn't have. Looks like my next TAD comes from there.

I'm trying the Mazatec now. Initial impressions, smooth and cool burning. However, not as much flavor as I expected from the aroma. I'll with-hold judgment until I'm not working and have a better chance of concentrating on it. Or maybe my palate is just desensitized from already having a couple bowls of latakia this AM

Yeah the cob I got was "rusticated". I love the red unfinished cobs though. I loaded up the Black Raspberry in the cob and went for a drive. Very light flavor but not bad. Aromatics always remind me why I don't smoke them that much. I want more flavor. It had no bite though, and I smoked the cob like a chimney.
Captainsousie did you contact Russ? He was going to try to see about something for you guys that got in on the same day but it showed "out of stock".
Edit: Im sure "The Eaton" is probably not new but I wish they would sell these. I would like to have a couple small cobs lying around, its size.

Thanks b&b but when I got the bait-and-switch, I cancelled the order. His offer only stood if I had gone through with it. I would have no problem if it either didn't add the promo to the cart or if there had been a banner (way easy to put one in) or something similar. Live and learn.

My order just arrived - same as 05venturer's photo above, down to the "unfinished" Eaton.
I'm not an aro guy, so it's nice to have some of these on hand for my friends who are, or to use around the house when we have company. I'm smoking the LL7 right now, and my wife really likes it. It's pretty tasty, I have to admit - maybe I like those aros more than I thought.

I was actually headed up to my den to grab on of my extra "Eaton" corn cob pipes to gift to a friend here on the forum and the mail came and walla another Eaton in the grab bag.

I actually really like these little cobs for a quick smoke, I keep a couple in my vehicle nearly always. Great little smokers.
