Has anyone tried Orange Julius? I purchased some at my local smoke shop in bulk, I don't know who makes it though. Consequently It does not have much flavor, although it seems to be a good quality tobacco.

Never heard of it. But if it smells/tastes even remotely like orange.. then I suspect its a bulk renamed like almost all the tobacco shops do:
I would suggest that its actually one of these:

I think there used to be an Orange Julius beverage stand in the Chicago and Northwestern Station

on Madison St. in Chicago. it wasn't a big seller, as I recall. The railroad has been subsumed under

some other conglomerate of the rail industry. Someone is excavating a blast from the ancient past

with this tobacco. From the description, it sounds decidedly generic.

The original Orange Julius used to be made with a raw egg. After a few salmonella scares you had to ask for the egg. Later it got to the point where you just couldn't get it made like that anymore. The egg had a lot to do with the texture and flavor of the drink. It wasn't quite the same without it. So I have to assume their popularity declined quite substantially after that. It's such a shame, because it really was a good drink. I believe there are still some shops located in shopping malls here and there. I'm not entirely certain of that, however. I bet it's just an aromatic that has an orange smell to it and the blender calls it that in rememberance to the the drink.

Mixing good tobacco with bad tobacco won't make the bad tobacco better. It'll just make the good tobacco worse.
Consider this a lesson learned and toss the orange flavored tobacco.

There are a number of Orange Julius' here in Las Vegas still.
As for the blend, what's mentioned before is probably right. It's probably some generic bulk blend with an orange casing/top dressing that a B&M decided to call Orange Julius.
I say mix it with Half and Half or Carter Hall. People tend to have good results doing that with other blends.

you might want to consider what anthonyrosenthal74 said and try mixing it with a raw egg ...

I had some by this name. It was okay... You can definitely taste the orange. I don't like fruity tobaccos, but my fiance likes it! Hope you enjoy it!
