I've opened my first G.L. Pease tobacco today, the Union Square (they're quite expensive in Swizerland!). What a very nice and pure Virgina flake tobacco, spicy with the natural sweetness, soft yet very present. Very, very nice! Congrats G.L., looking forward to try some of the others (without Latakia unfortunately as I can't smoke Latakias).

Oh my, and I thought Pease's blends were little bit too expensive here in the U.S.!

Sometimes we just don't realize how good we have it. Of course, you probably have

ready access to Sam Gawith blends, which we can't get here at any price!
BTW, nice review Kevin. My further comments at the blog site.

Union Square is exceptionally good, in fact my favorite Peace blend. Rumour is he's working on another blend right now that will not have latakia, perique, nor an aromatic. Can't wait to find out what he has up his sleeve!

@cortezattic: yes, we get all the Samuel Gawith and Gawith & Hoggarth tobaccos here, most even in bulk, so yes, in that case we are quite spoiled.

The Pease tobaccos cost around 22 Dollars here. The S Gawith: tins about 15, bulk 12.00.
