Is another mans rather nice new pipe.

I seem to remember a similar pipe showing up on here a little while ago if anybody remembers it i think the previous thread said it was reminiscent of both a Castello and a Shillelagh.

"Reject London Made" pipes were made by WH Carrington, and that one looks like an easy cleanup and lovely example, nice grab!

The bowl-ectomy is a little distracting to me, but the grain is fabulous.

Is that a bowl-ectomy or just a bent pot? It's not badly proportioned as a pot, and I took it for that.

Shallow and cylindrical are the only requirement for a lot regardless of diameter.

I presumed that the chop top was the reason for its rejection. Interestingly the chamber is 1.5 inches deep as is.

A 1/4" off the thickness of the shank & 3/8" added to the height of the bowl would make a huge difference.
Me, when I think of pot I've always thought relatively thin walls, but I'm by no means a shape expert. Seems like at least 20% of today's "common" shapes didn't even exist when I was in the biz. Being 35+ years behind the times can be a disadvantage at times. :)

Nothing off the shank...I think its a bit of an optical illusion because the bowl is chopped short. add 1/2" to the bowl and the proportions would be perfect.
