Seven years ago I bought an IM Corona Old Boy and proceeded to drop it the very same day. From that point it seemed to only hold fuel for a few hours regardless of bleeding the valve. This past Thursday just for whatever reason I tried filling it with the swing arm lifted. Apparently it had some sort of vapor lock and didn't allow the fuel chamber to fully fill as now, four days later the flame is as strong as the day I filled it. No longer will it be a just a closet queen or photo window dressing.

I also purge the last bit of gas when I notice it's running low. I think that's good maintenance. When empty, if I remember to, I usually give the nozzle and flint wheel a quick brush before the soot really builds up.

It's a good lighter. Nice to see that the filling technique with the arm open worked. Clever idea... you should ask for a raise at work!
