Main event was well matched I thought, Cejudo having a hard time with that range.

Geez—Albazi won maybe one round? These judges need to go. Sal D’Amato and Chris Lee seem to be involved in more bad calls than any other “joodges.”

Sugar was able to wind up and throw that punch to a wide open head before Sterling had finished thinking about the strike he threw first.

That sequence was so amazing to see in slow motion, with Sugar backing up and slipping the punch. His right arm was a bit forward from a distance check with the left arm and he drew it back under Aljo’s left arm and came over the shoulder. You could see Aljo close his eyes anticipating that he was going to get nailed.

I could’ve seen either Izzy or Strickland winning and was very curious to see how it might play out. I’m happy for Sean Strickland. He was methodical and won how I thought he might. His defense is so solid and his forward pressure makes so many fighters uncomfortable. It was an impressive win.

Super happy for my boy Sean Strickland, this has been the year of the underdogs for sure.
