mind if I ask a question as well? What is the tobacco scene in your part of the world like? I've heard there are some unique options not found else where.
You're welcome to ask. I'm not sure if I understood your question, but middle-eastern people traditionally consume tobacco using hookah (we call it qalyan in Iran). Though I don't really like the style and some research has shown that's even more dangerous than cigarettes, but some people really love it. To be honest, I didn't even try it. There's even some special places that people drink tea and smoke hookah there. Here's an image from one of these places.mind if I ask a question as well? Not much of a community really. There are few pipe smokers here. Most people prefer cigarettes and hookah.Welcome from the states. What is the tobacco pipe community like in Iran?
Welcome! The picture is very interesting, but where's all the smoke? You're welcome to ask. Good point! I didn't pay attention. Maybe their hookahs are turned off to take this photo ?. However, I should mention that hookahs produce vapor, not smoke.Welcome! The picture is very interesting, but where's all the smoke?
thanks. I hear some of the old men still sniff snuff. Oh and the medical info on hookas is that they're more likely to get lung cancer then with cigs but less likely to get other diseases associated with cigarettes. I wrote a paper about it in school, well about what health effects there might be with vaping (hookas are basically old school vapes). You're welcome to ask. Thank you for your reply. But are you sure? I mean, traditionally people don't inhale when they use hookas (like pipes). So I think the lung cancer chance should be less than cigarettes.thanks. slightly greater which makes sense if they're not dying from other cigarette related disease then the one they do catch is going to be more prevalent. And if you're smoking indoors you're inhaling some of that especially if in a place like a hooka lounge or cafe.Thank you for your reply. But are you sure?
