So I've been looking at acquiring some new pipes, and after a few weeks of looking and having my eye caught by a few Ser Jacopo's, Caminetto's, a Castello, a couple Savinelli pipes, and a few others; I decided on the Savinelli Onda 616 KS, and was fortunate to come across a gorgeous Savinelli Fiammata 141 KS un-smoked estate pipe. From some information I read the Fiammata line is a rare pipe as it's a Giubileo d' Oro reject, and with only 1/10 of 1% of Savinelli's pipes making the grade to be a Giubileo d' Oro, even fewer become a Fiammata. Not sure why this pipe is a "reject" because it's absolutely stunning.

I already loaded up the Onda and put flame to it earlier today. Great smoking pipe with a beautiful look. The Onda was on sale, which was a bonus, at Smoking Pipes. Looks like they're still on sale too.

I had to come back and look at this because I just can't get enough of that Fiammata. Man that is one pretty piece of briar. :D

30 dollar pipe or 30,000 dollar pipe... if it's got two holes in it, it's meant to be smoked
That's very true. I'll get around to smoking it eventually. Then when I do I'll need to figure what to smoke in it. Probably a Virginia flake, but I'll figure that out when I pull it off the rack.
