Have I been so busy that I didn't see,or notice an announcement about these. By the way the usual disclamer,

Also has anyone tried any of these?

You are the first person I have known to have mentioned these new blends.
I personally love the marketing "For Gentlemen Only". Not a sexist comment, just interesting marketing.

Yeah, these are the old Peterson blends that K&K blended for Peterson before they lost the contract.
Here is a summary of which Rattray equates to which Peterson blend: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/437462-Peterson-Blends-now-being-sold-as-Rattray

Mac Baren now manufactures the Peterson tobaccos.
Well, there is a thread on here where Per Hansen chimed in and said that MacB did not manufacture the Peterson tobaccos - whether he was saying they did not manufacture any blends or that they just did not manufacture any of the flakes is open to question. I believe he meant the latter.

That Buckingham blend has no reviews on Tobaccoreviews.com and it sounds good.

I tried the Buckingham based on the tin description. Like most aromatics, it is a little light on nicotine for me but my go to tobacco is Royal Yacht. The tobaccos are high quality and the topping is not at all offensive, and I consider most toppings to be offensive. The main flavour is Vanilla and not an artificial vanilla taste. The cinnamon can be felt just a little on the tongue rather than be tasted. The hickory nuts are AWOL. For an aromatic, it is very good quality. I was hoping for the Virginia and unflavoured black Cavendish from the other Rattray's blends to be the base, but alas, it was not so. The tobacco they do use is very good however. If you like aromatic tobacco, this is certainly better than most.

Darn it, I was hoping to try a new English flake only to read down and discover it's that vile Irish Flake. Do any of these classic Pete blends gone Rattray bode well for a Virginias, English with no Burley kind of guy like myself? How is the Old Dublin/Red Lion? That is one I never got around to trying.
